What type of car can I bring to a test?
Your vehicle must be roadworthy, legal and insured for the purposes of the test. You can take your test in a manual or automatic vehicle, which can be electric or hybrid if you prefer.
What happens on test day?
Your examiner will check your eyesight, the vehicle i.e. lights, tyres etc and your original driving licence. You will need to bring your NI number or a check code for the examiner to verify your licence online at www.gov.uk. If any of the above cannot be verified your test will be cancelled and you will need to book and pay for a new test.
