This online session explores how to ask the right questions to support deeper, more meaningful learning. Aimed at PDIs and ADIs, it focuses on developing effective questioning techniques that encourage critical thinking, engagement and client-centred learning. Whether you’re preparing for Part 3, a Standards Check or simply want to enhance your everyday teaching, this session provides practical tools to improve how you use questions in your lessons.

Why Attend This Session?

Being able to ask the right questions is essential for ensuring that learning truly takes place, a core requirement in both the Standards Check and Part 3. Questions are at the heart of any client-centred lesson, helping to engage your pupil, assess understanding and encourage reflection.

This presentation will guide you in crafting purposeful questions that target all three key learning domains: cognitive (thoughts), affective (feelings), and psychomotor (behaviour and skills). You’ll learn how to use questioning not just as a teaching tool, but as a strategy to simplify lesson planning and enhance risk management.

Without effective questioning techniques, lessons risk losing direction, safety can be compromised and the overall value of the session is diminished. This session equips you with the skills to avoid those pitfalls and deliver impactful, learner focused instruction.
