Safeguarding is everyone’s business, and we all have a part to play in recognising signs of abuse and neglect, both with our customers and in our private lives. In this session, we look at who holds responsibility for safeguarding, and examine the legal definitions of the groups of people we work with every day. We’ll also explore key legislation and the background checks essential to our role as trainers, including the DBS check (formerly the CRB), and why this is so important for ADIs and PDIs. Includes a case study and questions to help apply the learning to everyday training practice.
